Full Moon Aquarius 8/7/17 Partial Lunar Eclipse. The Breakthrough.

Hey Everybody. I’m writing this full moon report in sort of a wistful mood. I just learned earlier today that Sam Shepard and Jeanne Moreau have passed. I was a teenager when I happened upon both of these artists, and when I did it felt like I also found a way to experience parts of myself I didn’t know existed. These IDEAS were EMOTIONALLY stirring. This is how I THINK an Aquarius moon FEELS.

I’ve always had a thing for Aquarius. I’ve always had a thing for the iconoclast. Both Shepard and Moreau fit the bill (and btw, Shepard: prominent moon Aqua Moreau: sun/moon Aqua). Both were so important to the reimagining of America, theater, film, and the feminine. Aquarian ideals never fit in places that already exist.

Aquarius sees everything differently. It goes against the grain, and lives in the future. It’s left field, it’s lightning striking, it’s mad genius. It’s also the cool customer, the radical idealist, and the unsentimental intellectual.

Being ruled by both Uranus and Saturn, I’ve always felt that Aquarius was the most paradoxical of all the signs. It’s the sign of the collective and the rebel, detachment and passionate revolution, unconventionality and rigidity. My solution for working with Aquarius is to accept the whole frictive reciprocal nature of it and enjoy the sparks it creates. A keyword for Aquarius is “break”: it’s the big break, breakdown, breakthrough, clean break, break up or even the break in what we consider reality, i.e. time constraints and 3D reality (Saturn’s domain). It’s anything that finds its way into being against the odds.

Uranus needs something to break open or away from, hence it needs large communities, limitations, and institutions. If you’re into mythology you know about the gruesome showdown between Uranus (Ouranos) and Saturn (Kronos).

Without the container of tradition, rules, and laws, Aquarius has nothing to break from. It is hyper-aware, invested and concerned about these things but always in the interest of innovation. It always asks, “how can we do better for all?”  Its dedication to ideals for humanity at large is fierce, though sometimes too attached to the ideal or “the vision.”  It can be a little inhumane in the name of the very people it purports to help. Personal feelings and shining your individual creative light is Leo territory. That lives on the opposite end of the axis. Remember, at a full moon there’s always a conversation/balancing act between the two ends of an axis.

Both Uranus and Saturn figure strongly into this eclipse season. Uranus stations retrograde August 3rd, therefore concentrating its energy, Saturn is slowing down to station direct in a couple weeks (intensifying its energy), Uranus rules this full moon/ partial eclipse, and both are part of a fire trine that hovers around the solar eclipse point.

I would pay close attention to this full moon and how Uranus is touching your life/chart. I know the BIG eclipse is coming up, but the information you need to work with the solar eclipse is available NOW. It might show up as a rude awakening, bolt from the blue, or blessed epiphany.

New Moon Leo 7/23/17 Flaring Passions and Creative Juices

This new moon ushers in a Leo season that is bombastic! Dramatic! Exclamatory!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m already exhausted. This could go a lot ways folks, but whichever way it goes it won’t go quietly or without ceremony.

Leo is about showing. Expression. Putting yourself out there.

A Leo key word is creation; that includes recreation and procreation. Anything made out of love and joy, that bears the singular stamp of the individual. It’s  “This represents me!!” “Ta Da!!”

The biggest distinction to make with this new moon is WHY you are putting your beautiful, unique self out there. Leo WANTS the spotlight desperately, but NEEDS to give it away. It’s the sign of generosity. Leo is ruled by the life-GIVING sun. When Leo shares out of the pure spirit of giving, nothing is more beautiful. It’s what born-leaders are made of. When Leo gives to get, we run into some problems.

Leo is without question the ruler of the jungle; big, bold, and swashbuckling. What people often don’t know about Leo is that it can also be one of the most insecure and untrusting realms. Leo rules both heart and ego. The bigger the love, the bigger the anxiety, the bigger the needs. The bigger the ego the more vulnerable it is, and the more it wants something in return for what it gives, like absolute loyalty, control, certainty (it’s a fixed sign). It needs to show and be shown proof of love, acceptance, and respect. Hence the romantic gestures, the ceremonies, the parades and love of titles. Leo is nobility.

This overblown Leo new moon looks amazing for finally having the nerve to put your true self out there and find joy, but there’s also a chance for a lot of hurt feelings if recognition or responses come up short. It’s so important to examine whether we're spreading the love or if we're putting ourselves out there because we're hungry for other people to give us the feeling of love, joy, pride, or self-respect. A magical thing happens when you fill your own cup. We have lots to share without worrying about loss. That’s inspiring. That’s what Leo leadership is all about. Imagine a world where everyone gave freely without expectation of something back. All of our cups would be full.

This new moon is EXTRA potent for all new creations (hint hint use protection if you're not looking to conceive), and ushers in the total solar eclipse in Leo this August which will blast some us into a whole new life or point us toward new projects and people to love. This also means we get two new moons in Leo in a row (separated by a full moon of course), which is rare, and they’ll both be sitting with Mars. This Leo extravaganza could go off the rails.

3 days after this new moon, Mars dies unto itself and is reborn in Leo to start a whole new Mars cycle (Mars-Sun conjunction). With Mars in Leo we have extra fervor about asserting our individuality and putting ourselves out there with FORCE. I know you can already see how this can go a few different ways. It depends on our intentions. What is our answer to that question: WHY are we asserting our individuality? Is it to share our unique qualities and feelings or to prove our worthiness of love and admiration? When we go after the latter, all we prove to ourselves is that we don’t already feel worthy. Do we need to feel more special than someone else to feel special at all?

The way we express our individuality is going through an overhaul. Intention matters. It’s not everything, but in the midst of our creative processes, how else can we know when to course-correct, or when to shift gears? Without intention, we create at the whim an ego whose function it is to separate. Intention keeps us on track and conscious of our behavior so we can create from the heart.

This is a hot one y’all. Watch your tempers. Check the egos. We'll feel all kinds of inspirations and flaring passions. I hope those inspirations are centered on boundless self love for the express purpose of giving it away. You ARE special. Accept that and share it.

Full moon Capricorn 7/9/17 Necessary Surgery

I think that I’m beginning this post with quotations to avoid writing about this lunation. “Good” or “bad” is in the eye of the beholder, but man, this chart looks unnerving. Depends on how you feel about intensity. A lot of astrologers are calling this the “Hades Moon.” And, I get it. It has the forces of the underworld, Kali, and Scorpio written all over it. But, it looks necessary. Handled well, this could be a deeply healing time that gives birth to something we need to move forward. HANDLED WELL.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when I recommended staying close to your feelings, trying to understand your deepest needs and those of others, creating safe, flexible spaces, and building intimacy with your tribe? How’d we do with that?  We’re going to find out now. During the new moon Cancer we (hopefully) took some deep breaths and exposed our soft centers. This Capricorn full moon is the harsh light of day come ‘round to inspect what’s going on in there and maybe do a bit of surgery. It’s the doctor saying, “This is going to feel a little uncomfortable,” “you might feel a little pressure.” Let’s face it. This is going to hurt. Question is, when you feel that pressure and heightened sensitivity are you going to wall off, shut down, and don your armor? Or are you going to remember that this surgery is necessary, and surrender? This surgery aims to remove what blocks you from what you need most. I hope you tricked out your healing spaces and got real with your people.

Some of us will choose to fight.

Pick your battles. There will be many to choose from. Conflicts abound. Within and without. Well, as within so without…right?

At any full moon, we’re dealing with polarity. With a Capricorn full moon we’re dealing with archetypal big guns: Mother vs. Father, Public vs. Private, Work vs. Home, Form vs. Feeling, Tides of Change vs. The Establishment. Much as I try to deal with polarities as a continuum of a theme, which I still recommend we do with this lunation; this particular one has some gnarly challenges in the form of Mars in Cancer sitting with the sun, and Pluto in Capricorn sitting with the moon. You got a taste of this last week. It peaks this week.

Like all full moons, this one wants you to release something. What’s especially difficult about letting go with this one is the Mars-Pluto opposition. Mars in Cancer fights by defending, building walls, and hiding. Building walls and hiding your feelings is like waving a red cape in front of a bull—the bull being Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is Scorpio energy. It is extreme, relentless, and it digs. Pluto in Capricorn digs all the way to the bottom. It will complete the job. Sounds violent. And it could be. But it doesn’t have to be. (PS this is an outstanding time to do research, detox/cleanse, finish a tough job).

All that Pluto-moon conjunction wants to remove are lies, and our false sense of security. It wants to remove what keeps us from feeling the real security of love, interconnectedness, and constant renewal. If we can stay open and awake, tolerate some poking and prodding, that Pluto-moon will take what it needs and be on its way, leaving us to heal and feel secure in a way no one and nothing can threaten.

Should we choose to harden against ourselves, the world, each other, that Pluto-moon might resort to unnecessarily destructive measures to get what it wants. That’s war…within ourselves, with each other, and the world. We don’t need astrology to see this playing out on the world stage.

I don’t think of myself as a fire-and-brimstone type of astrologer, but shit. This is challenging. Not that I think it’s important for life to be easy all of the time. This lunation, handled well, could lead to something much more powerful than feeling easy: feeling whole. There are deep changes that we need to allow for. To cling to old ways of being, to preserve some false notion of safety is to prolong senseless suffering.

Please do what you can to stay open. Let's try to catch ourselves being lured into battle, other-ing, and hyperactive defensiveness. See if you notice urges to escape, evade, or suppress. Those are not the optimal ways to deal with our fear. To quote Robert Frost, “The only way out is through.” Let’s hold each other’s hands as we walk through this…and ditch that armor. We are meant to be moved.

I don’t think of myself as a love-and -light astrologer either but please be kind. Please be loving, please be fierce only in your search for what is true. It is the ILLUSION that we are not already safe that creates war. XC

New Moon Cancer 6/23 The Mother of All Summers

Mother is a Verb. A Fertile Mind. Brain Child. The Mothers of Invention.

I had a lot of alternate titles for this astro report. Just as a mom can love all of her children the same amount, but differently, there are MANY ways to TALK and THINK about this new moon that aid GROWTH. I love them all, but I had to pick.

We have a weird lunation coming up. It’s a Cancer/Gemini dealio. Weird but workable. Wonderful and powerful if you can keep your head in the game while exposing the soft underbelly of your feelings.

This Cancer new moon occurs in the constellation (astronomy) of Gemini conjunct Mercury. This looks brilliant for new beginnings. New beginnings that are emotionally connected, which means impact. There is a tendency to only think of the deeply emotional, and inherently nurturing qualities of Cancer. It is the watery sign of the home, the family, the mother, and the past. We tend to forget that it’s a cardinal sign too, which means ACTION. When you put a strong emotion behind an action you get results. In fact in some ancient astrology practices Cancer, not Aries, is the leading sign of the zodiac. Pair this new moon with the summer solstice (which happened on 6/21) and you have fertile ground. THINK carefully about what you want to plant. It will grow (poisonous plants and weeds do happen). We have unusual abilities to synthesize head and heart during this time.

Even though this moon has a lemony-fresh-clean-slate smell, it is not pure. Let’s consider that healthy dose of Gemini in the mix. The seeds that are planted in that fecund new moon Cancer soil look like they’re coming from thought forms, communication, ideas, and mixing it up with people who snap us out of ruts and outworn thinking. Cancer and Gemini have very little (ok nothing) in common, but it’s not complicated.

Here are some possible combinations for this odd couple (and a little astro test to see if you can identify the Gemini in the Cancer):

Inventing new definitions of home, family, and the maternal.

Ferociously protecting our right to live and love creatively.

Using language to nurture and bring all different types of people together.

Analyzing emotionally entrenched patterns from our past objectively to aid the process of change.

Feeding our ability to be flexible.

Allowing ourselves to remain vulnerable when threatening ideas trigger an emotional defense response. Getting curious about knee-jerk reactions.

And there will be knee-jerk reactions. I can’t speak to the meteorological climate this summer, but it will be emotionally hot. Cancer represents what’s unconscious and closest to the bone. It’s our emotional security. It’s the parts of us that formed before we could say our name (that’s the 5^th sign, Leo). It’s the instinct to survive, which is why it’s so powerful...for better or worse. Its symbol is the crab. That little guy who takes its home everywhere it goes. Whose insides are as gushy as its shell is impervious; who sometimes forgets that what makes it feel safe can also be what makes it feel burdened. The Gemini influence on this new moon is a gift. It will help us catch ourselves in the act of reacting, and give us the opportunity to practice responding with inquisitiveness. It will throw us a life raft if the emotional waters get too choppy.

Use this time to feather your nests, nourish yourselves, and each other. Get your homes and tribes in order by having conversations about your feelings. We’ll all need soft places to land this summer. We can create those spaces for each other and ourselves by finding points of connection and building bridges. But if we can’t find the courage to question our friends and ourselves in a most vulnerable way, we can’t know our deepest needs much less meet them. We’ll go hungry. A good mama doesn’t let her babies go hungry.

THE BIG QUESTION:

Can we figure out a way to fortify the real seat of security, and invest less in representations of safety that are mere illusions?

Like:

How we’ve always done it.

How we’re comfortable doing it.

Locking it down.

Locking it up.

Making our external environment “just so.”

Perfection.

Basically, all of those examples are just examples of a lack of curiosity...not taking in the new.

When Cancer goes awry, it’s in these types of ways. Clinging to precedent and tradition; using them as talismans of safety and ignoring the one place where safety lives. It only lives in constant change. Cancer knows this in its DNA. It’s the sign of the moon, tides, and cycles. Cancer in its most healthy and natural expression feels safe because things are always changing. When we can feel comfortable in the midst of constant change, there is less to feel threatened about.

Happy new moon and summer solstice. May we find our sense of security in our curiosity and adaptability. XC

We can see how this duo can be each other’s worst nightmare or best friend. Taken with the worldview that whatever materializes (Saturn) is whatever we believe (Jupiter), we make a strong case for clarity about what our beliefs are, and where they come from. When we fail to take responsibility for what we believe and why, it can be very easy to view reality (Saturn) as encroaching upon our aspirations (Jupiter). It doesn't have to be this way. It is well within our power to realize our dreams if we are willing to take responsibility (Saturn) for them, and put faith (Jupiter) in ourselves.

BTW, if you feel you’ve been doing this work consistently already, congrats. This could be a celebration moon for y’all.

Sagittarius has been having its moment for the past couple of years because/in spite of Saturn occupying it. 2016 was about the Saturn/Neptune square (Sagittarius-Pisces. Facts vs. illusion. Dreams vs. reality), and this year is about the Saturn/Uranus trine (Sagittarius-Aries. Tradition vs. innovation. Earthquakes that re-structure).

Jupiter rules Sagittarius, and this full moon. Our only Sagittarius full moon of the year, and it peaks within spitting distance of, you guessed it, Saturn. It’s not a tight conjunction, but close enough for Saturn to make sure that this full moon doesn’t get carried away (party pooper).

The Sagittarian archetypes: the crude loudmouth, the xenophile, the adventure-seeking nomad, and the evangelist/guru/philosopher. Jupiter is about E-X-P-A-N-S-I-O-N. It’s characterized by zeal. It’s unrestrained enthusiasm from the pulpit, behind the podium, and on the soapbox. It wants to go beyond in thought, word, and deed. Beyond what? Boundaries. Limits. Boundaries are Saturn’s gig. Saturn has been in Sagittarius for two and an a half years with 6 more months to go.

Traditionally Saturn and Jupiter are thought of as antagonistic to each other, but applied well, they can be quite complimentary. We associate a lot of positivity and luck with Jupiter. It’s a benefic planet, but you can have too much of a good thing. Unchecked Jupiter is where we indulge, become careless, and bite off more than we can chew. It’s where we attribute too much to luck, faith, and an incomplete grasp of the machinery that makes something work. This is where Saturn can be quite valuable.

I’ve seen many a face drop when we get on the subject of Saturn. It’s usually a signal of some dedicated effort ahead, a reigning in, a scaling back, due diligence, a test. Saturn pops Jupiterian bubbles. But if you want any of those lofty visions to take hold in a real-world type of way, Saturn’s your only hope.

Back to this full moon, and Jupiter station. That’s a lot of Sagittarius coming at ya, plus the element of fire in general. We are at the tail end of a fire trine (Saturn /Sagittarius, Uranus/Aries, North node/Leo). Aries is the igniting spark, Leo is the well-cultivated campfire, and Sagittarius is the voracious wildfire that spreads as wide and as long as there is fuel to feed it. In the case of Sagittarius that fuel is anything that bolsters conviction. Sagittarius likes laws, philosophies, dogma, etc., because it’s on a quest for the truth of something. It can forget that truth doesn’t lie anywhere “out there.” It can forget that the truth is subjective. Truth (Jupiter/Sadge) does not equal fact (Saturn/Cap). Sagittarius sometimes conflates the two. The difference is how we give meaning to something. Inherently, facts have no meaning at all.

Wherever this full moon and stationing Jupiter fall in your chart is where your personal truth and conviction will be fired up AND tested. It may feel extremely liberating or very uncomfortable, especially if it causes friction with the structures you’ve created in your day-to-day, or feelings like ungrounded fervor are overwhelming for you. If you’re anything like me, I kind of get off on that feeling of being 100% right (whether or not I am), of being unbound by convention…which can cause other problems. Remember that when we get a full moon, we have the opposing Sun’s energy at our disposal. Use some detached, prismatic Gemini energy to examine your convictions. 

Do you believe in them more than you believe in yourself? Are your fantasies fit for planet earth? Are you passions yours, or are they convenient “truths” you’ve adopted without sufficient scrutiny? Can you catch yourself in the act of confirmation bias?

Gemini Season: Virtues of the Double Life.

As we embark on Gemini season, let’s quash some of the misgivings about the twins, and celebrate the benefits of being neither here nor there. The Gemini archetype often gets a bad rap: jack-of-all-trades, master of none, the superficial chatterbox, or worse, the glib double-dealer. People often forget that Gemini also rules equity, diversification, and synthesis. Writing, thinking, lungs, and hands are also its domain.  It’s ruled by the planet Mercury which governs movement, transportation, communication, and versatility. Its astrological symbol is a boy and girl set of twins.

I live a very Gemini-type of existence that used to drive me crazy until I learned how to pay attention to the unique experience it affords. It’s a perspective you can only get from being in motion. For instance, it’s only a two-hour drive to Kingston, NY from New York City, but the distance between my two homes feels vast. Distance is something I’ve always craved because it requires the act of bridging. Distance creates objectivity and a deeper appreciation for the people and situations I think I know so well. I’m also a sucker for the thrill of leaving something behind for the anticipation of whatever’s next. I relish the freedom to experience something from all sides because you’re not locked inside. The “refresh button” and I are on intimate terms.

Come to think of it, I’ve always preferred dualism: multiple careers, relationships, and residences. It’s been less of a juggle, more of a fusion––a stitching together of a wide array of knowledge that intersects at me. I double majored in undergrad and grad school. I used to work on Wall Street (NYC) at the same time I was choreographing dances in LA. I currently work as a medical movement specialist and an astrologer in the city, and co-run an artists’ residency/farm in a smaller city that feels more like a shire. Art and finance, doctors and mystics, town and country. What seems contradictory at first glance actually opens gateways of dialogue. I can’t tell you how many times working with one client’s motor skills has helped me crack another client’s astro-mystery; how departures helped me stay the course.

Gemini often gets called to the carpet for being non-committal. I’ve actually found that commitment isn’t the real issue. It’s exclusivity. Gemini can commit with the best of them, but it needs at least a couple of things to move between. Gemini is BUILT to shapeshift. It is capable of great mastery and longevity if it’s allowed to dance with other partners and change the choreography (from time to time).

I do New York City so much better with Kingston in my rear view mirror. The spiky crackle of city energy, throngs of bodies, and variety of encounters I can have in a day is heady. Sometimes too heady. Certain types (me) can get drunk on that kind of stimulation. But, after a few days of voluptuous stillness (which I can get drunk on too), unstructured time with close friends, and trees—city life feels exhilarating. When I first bought the house in Kingston, I feared I would get bored (a common Gemini concern) or that it would be too quiet. Maybe without the contrast of city life, it would. I know this makes sense to those of you who can spend a whole summer’s day jumping into a cold pool after soaking in a hot tub, and then sinking back into the hot tub after a refreshing dip in the pool, and on and on and back and forth…

Gemini energy at its best dives into the contradictory with all 4 hands and both tongues (remember, they’re a pair). It extracts the essence, dare I say, “truth” of divergent streams of information. There is nothing truer than the present. The present is always in motion.  This is where Gemini can get in trouble with accusations of fickleness or straight up lying. The twins are attuned to what’s happening right now, from all perspectives. There is no loyalty to what was true yesterday because the twins instinctively know that the grand truth of life is change. This is Gemini’s deep end. Yes, it has one. Happy Gemini season. Happy spring-moving-into-summer.

Full moon Scorpio 5/10/17 Your Nether Regions

Scorpio is not just about the nether regions of your body or hell itself.  It's also about the nether regions of your psyche and your heart. At this full moon light is shed on the things we hide from ourselves and others. We have conversations about the things we never wanted to talk about. We face desires we wish we didn't have. But, there they are.

It's a time when we get stripped down and scrubbed sparkly—a big, sexy slough of old identities, fake smiles, and toxic secrets collects at our feet.

We step out into the world, exposed.

Personally, I like a good scrub. Inspect my bathroom and you’ll find all manner of exfoliant, loofah, and body brush. Once in a while I’ll treat myself to a microdermabrasion facial. It’s just a very deep exfoliation that’s done with a diamond-tipped wand (doesn’t hurt). This wand removes dead skin cells and makes microscopic cuts in the skin that cue the skin’s own regeneration process (it lives!). The removal of dead cells reveals brand new skin that can breathe and absorb whatever it comes into contact with more deeply (so hopefully you’re putting good, nutritious stuff on your skin).

I know, not exactly a conversation for the dinner table…dead skin, clogged pores, and all. But, that’s Scorpio. Scorpio has no use for anything superficial; it wants to know what’s underneath. It has the stomach for all the gory details, and always wants to “go there.”

Yeah. I went there. Couldn’t help it. It’s such a perfect example of the extremes between Taurus and Scorpio. Everyone can relate to these body functions, and the metaphors can go on ad nauseam. Poop is also fitting because Scorpio rules the waste disposal process and reproductive organs. Yeah, all that “down there” stuff. Most people think of Scorpio as the sexy sign, which it is, but we forget it also rules forensics, investment banking, psychology and death. Believe it or not, these things have EVERYTHING to do with the KIND of sex Scorpio wants to have.

There are a million ways to do sex that are healthy and fun, and may or may not involve physical penetration (jeez, do we as a culture get hung up on phallic penetration as the defining act of sex or what), and may or may not involve other people. There’s recreational (Leo) sex, sensual (Taurus) sex, affectionate (Libra) sex, animal (Aries) sex, and on and on. The kind of sex Scorpio wants to have is going to cost you something. Now before you get all proud of yourself because it’s so easy for you to share, chances are that if it’s that easy, it’s not actually costing you anything. When something costs us, we’re talking about loss, our sense of security—being vulnerable. Scorpio wants the parts of you that are hardest for you to part with.  The price is high because what Scorpio offers in return is new life and higher power. I think that’s fair. Except when it’s not. Unchecked Scorpio energy manipulates in the name of absolute power. It can become obsessed with power, and boy is it shrewd and ruthless.

There must be stakes or else Scorpio is not interested. If Scorpio doesn’t walk out of an interaction a different person with a whole new perspective on life---if they didn’t leave a chunk of their soul behind or take a chunk of your soul with them, don’t expect to see them again. Anything short of a religious experience won’t be worth the effort. The Scorpio sex-perience needs you to invest---give up a precious part of yourself in the name of a merger that’s transformative. Through this merger, Scorpio is scrubbed clean with diamond blades. It dies unto itself so it can regenerate with tender new skin and be penetrated. Scorpio sex is alchemical. It is the penetrator and the penetrated—the scalpel and the incision.

Scorpio also has x-ray vision and wants what you got. The psychotherapist needs YOUR deepest feeling/thought material to create new solutions, the investment banker needs YOUR hard earned assets to turn them into something bigger, and a detective would be out of job without YOUR secrets to uncover. In the wrong hands, this ability to work with other people’s stuff can lead to ttrademark Scorpio jealousy.

Hence, typical reactions to Scorpionic people and situations:

“You see right through me. It feels so good to be seen, warts and all. It feels so good to trust. I want to bare my soul to you. Tell you all my secrets.”  Or,  “You see right through me. Get the fuck away from me. That’s not for anyone to know but me. You’re intrusive and creepy.” 

Where might you fall on the possession/power axis that is Taurus-Scorpio?  Right around this time we’re likely to go to one extreme or the other. This full moon should reveal how much exposure you can stand (emotionally, financially, psychologically) and how close you’re getting to the edge. There’s no tightrope walking during a Scorpio full moon. You either jump into to the abyss or retreat into familiar territory. All or nothing. High stakes.

This full moon chart speaks to the closing of a chapter. The full moon (fruition) in Scorpio (death/rebirth) sextiles Pluto (modern ruler of Scorpio), and is accompanied by the changing of the lunar nodes on the Virgo-Pisces (final rest) axis. We’ve been exploring our capacity wake up-and-deal and retire-and-heal for 18-months. We’re sure to feel a palpable shift as the nodes move onto the Leo-Aquarius axis. The nodal shift and the apex of the full moon happen within 24 hours of each other. Something in you or your life is wrapping up. Can you feel what it is? And, no. You are not exempt from Scorpio. It’s represented somewhere, to greater or lesser degrees in everyone’s chart.
